This looks like a fantastic project! Can’t believe the accuracy with which so many versions have been recreated.

This looks like a cool project! The screenshots and the description of the look & feel took me down memory lane, when the family computer used the Desert theme throughout the Win ME and XP days.

I wish you much success in this project! I think something like this would definitely make a “visual transition” to Linux for someone looking to switch from Windows, and who used Windows in the 2000s, much easier.

So, thinking about my pro-Windows wife …

Is that only the desktop manager, or does it include Linux-native replacements for Windows-formatted files (i.e. doc, xls ppt, etc.) without the need for those adaptation libraries like Cross-Over, or DLL integration libraries?

I so desperately would like to switch her over to linux, but any small “glitch” keeps her solidly in the Windows camp, hence a new Win 11 computer last fall, because her old Toshiba Qosmio display was failing!

Reminds me a lot about those good old times on Windows 98 and Windows 2000. Also XP and 7, but 98 and 2000 were the best for me.

Those look exactly like the originals! That’s an amazing work.
