I’m a new Linux user having recently moved from Windows 11 and the MS365 suite.
I am running into a strange behavior in copying text from a ChatGPT window into either Obsidian or Libre Writer note. I am capturing the text in a ChatGPT window either by ctrl-A > ctrl-C or by selecting it all by holding down the shift key and moving the mouse to cover the material I want to copy > ctrl-C. Then I do ctrl-V in Writer or Obsidian. I’ve just discovered that not all of it is copied even though there is no error message. I never had this problem doing same in Windows-Word.
Is there a size limitation in Linux possibly or is there a different combination of key strokes I should be using or ??
Side-note: I always copy and insert using <ctrl>-<ins> and <shift>-<ins> because <ctrl>-c is associated primarily with “interrupt” signal and may cause unexpected results.
meaning the ‘0’ on the keypad or next to the key or either? I’ll try those. I never noticed a problem under W11, but it may have slipped me by or maybe ChatGPT version that I am using caused a problem. I am not accustomed to using keystroke shortcuts, but it seems that will change.
Thanks for the tip.
