Framework computers

Hi All,

So I got bored and just started Googling things, (see what happens when I’m left without adult supervision ) and I stumbled upon this site Framework

The Framework computers are all modular and they are DIY for assembly. you just order the computer (laptop or desktop) you want and they’ll send it to you. You can customize the parts and bezels (laptops) etc.

BTW, Linus Torvalds is the primary stake holder in the company so Linux compatibility is a given

Go check it out if your looking for a laptop or a desktop (it looks to be the size of a Raspberry PI) for a home lab @hydn

@tmick Framework isn’t bad. I think you mean the tech YouTuber Linus Sebastian.

They are not bad. I looked at them before going with Thinkpad.

The build doesn’t quite reach the premium rigidity of Apple or Lenovo’s high-end machines.

There’s also System76: Have you bought anything from System76?

And Purism: After 10 Yrs of Linux, I Switched to Windows. What next? - #19 by hydn

It’s definitely atypical hardware.
