So there is an important caveat, Both Pop_OS! and Ubuntu lack a bursty (BORE - Burst Oriented Response Enhancer) kernel out of the box, but you can find custom variants of Fedora with a BORE kernel (bazzite namely which is immutable, however you should be able to get it on regular fedora using the cachyos COPR repos.)
On ubuntu, you’ll need to compile the kernel manually with the BORE sched before you can actually use it.
For context, BORE gives a higher priority to shorter running tasks, which will help the desktop when under load (Like heavy games.)
