Likely of interest to some:
Maybe gamers should also think about switching to a kernel which is more optimized for gaming. I’m not an Ubuntu user, so I don’t care. But I saw some videos where switching the kernel was a good idea.
I do briefly mention this in this post.
BORE kernels are pretty important for this kind of work.
Edit: Fixed link to the wrong post.
Not sure how happy I am with this post just casually recommending users to run a script off the Internet without any further explanation.
I do wish to make it clear i did not say to run it nor can you bc the build is broken for some reason. Wouldnt need to anyways, its github actions. (Its an example repo to help with learning how bazzite recommends you create oci images.[1] The documentation is lacking at best is why.)
Also i realised i linked to wrong post which was related to OCI images on fedora, not the BORE mention, whoops. Concerned i didnt catch that error earlier. ![]()
I will apologise if it seemed that way though. Thats probably a failure on my end to clarify that. That and a mixture of mistakes from me linking the wrong post probably made it confusing. (Dr Reasons Swiss Cheese Model - real thing btw)
The script I was talking about was in the link in the top post, on the Ubuntu Community Forums. ![]()
Oh. Well nothing like becoming a fool for one hour of the day i guess XD.
