Debian 13.5 has been released. I have updated all of my servers and have experienced no issues.
Debian 13.5 is not a release as in, package updates right? It’s essentially the delineation of all package updates since 13.4?
Nice, glad the upgrades went smoothly across your fleet. Debian point releases are usually pretty uneventful.
Which is why I like unattended upgrades on less critical servers. Of course, it’s always good to confirm no regressions after rolling them out across production.
I seldom bother with these interim releases, but I don’t support server farms, where it’s helpful to update the server configuration in a highly controlled, well managed fashion.
As a user, I just regularly update my interactive configurations. I don’t even have straight Debian installed at the present time. When Trixie (Version 13) was first released I did install it to test it out and it did well.
I typically run interactive distributions that have core Debian packages as part of their configuration. Nevertheless, Debian updates have plenty of use and utility, especially for servers, and stock Debian is primarily a server-oriented distribution.
Yes, just package updates, some security fixes, etc. Not a roll of the distro in general.
