Changing language environment

When I change the by default win+space control keys to Alt+Shift, after some time nothing works for changing language environment. Any suggestion?

Hi @billy What desktop environment are you on? Alt+Shift conflicting maybe. A lot of apps may use that combo too.

If you’re on GNOME its worth checking Settings > Keyboard > and I think Input Sources to confirm your switch key is still bound, and also look under Keyboard Shortcuts for anything else claiming Alt+Shift. Same for XFCE.

If it keeps breaking, try a different combo like Super+Space or Ctrl+Space and maybe see if that holds to confirm is its an issue with just that combo.

Since winspace is a combo of a modifier-key + regular key and Altshiftis a combo of only two modifier keys without any regular key, I can imagine that some desktops can have some trouble with it, possibly as an untested usecase bug, internal conflict or the like.

Try a combo that includes a regular key and see if the problem persists.

(I can be totally wrong about this, but it never hurts to try)
