The active users is accurate in that we have ~ 800 members a month who join via the linuxblog.io. Most register as part of signing up for our newsletter. Hopefully in the future as they do keep tabs on our weekly newsletter, some will increasingly check us out here in the community forums as well.

The app is basic and a bit buggy for me—on Android, when I click the blue + button for LinuxCommunity,io, it cannot be added to the Home tab—whereas all the other forums I’m in works (very frustrating).
Anyway, the app gathers all the Discourse communities together and allows for notification which is handy.
Ah, I was unable to test on Android. The app is not bad, but for me I don’t need another app icon for forums I can randomly visit. So I did remove it after testing.
In the Apple App Store, it’s only been reviewed by 10 people @ 3.9 stars. So I get the feeling most just visit and bookmark the forums they frequent in general or via Discourse Discover using a web browser.
Maybe on iOS it’s a bit better… I have around five forums I hang around in, and going to each one on the phone browser is not as convenient as using a central Hub app.
Perhaps it’s a relatively new app? I need to send them a bug report though as there’s at least three I can report… 
Well I read the reviews and the vast majority are 7+ years old. Not used much it seems. Says “10 ratings” but there are actually about 20 to 30 reviews when I open and scroll through.
But I understand your reasoning.
