I want to migrate from Windows 10 22H2 to Linux, I’m confused about which distro to choose that is suitable for beginners like me. The desktop is user friendly and not confusing
The reason I moved to Linux is because my hardware doesn’t support Windows 11, and it’s a heavy OS, I don’t like cloud and telemetry.

However, I realize that the last update puts Pop!_OS in the #3 spot for beginners. I’m reconsidering this because they recently switched to Cosmic Desktop.
Now, from my tests of Cosmic, Pop!_OS is still easy to install and use, still benefits from Ubuntu base and large support ecosystem and still one of the cleaner “just works” experiences.
Where it’s slightly weaker now is simply that Cosmic is new, so expect occasional quirks or UI gaps. Wayland related challenges. Also some apps and workflows are still being rebuilt (they replaced many GNOME apps with ther own).
For that reason, in 3rd place I would now put Linux Mint:
