Proper way to get Krfb and AnyDesk working under CachyOS

Trying to get krfb and AnyDesk working on an Intel/Nvidia laptop with two different issues…

I’m running CachyOS with Plasma DE. While trying to connect remotely to the Linux machine I encounter this error…
“The session has ended. Status: display_server_not_supported”

On Krfb I am not getting a confirmation popup on the Linux machine to allow RD when I try to connect it just times out.

Everything else under the system has been working flawless.

If I could get either one of these working that would be great. Thanks in advance.

Honestly not familiar with krfb myself. Had to look it up! But both issues sound like a Wayland problem.

At the login screen there’s usually a gear icon where you can switch to “Plasma (X11)”. That’s worth trying that first to see if either tool starts behaving. If you’re open to alternatives, RustDesk has decent Wayland support and might save you some headache.
