I’m enjoying these Email messages in addition to participating in the forum.
This past week I had fewer (retiree) hours free: our 15 year old nephew
stayed with us for several days, so I was his transportation to high school,
and alternating trips to soccer practice and boxing club, twice each.
Needless to say, that gave me a couple hours fewer each day to cruise
the forums or even finish reading daily Email. Though it was a good week,
it was a “different week”, so this weekly summary came in particularly handy
this week for me.
Good stuff happening here. Now it’s time to rest for this retiree!
Have a good weekend everyone!
That sounds like a full week!! It’s great that you still made time to check in here even with all the extra runs for school and practices. Glad to hear the weekly summary was useful, that’s exactly why it’s there for when we need to catch up.
Do enjoy the well-earned rest, and I hope you have a relaxing rest of the weekend! The next summary should be generated in a few hours, I think you’ve been included every week so far. Thanks for helping keep things lively!
Thanks! I’ve had to cut down my visits the past few days because I’ve had my credit union card compromised and we’ve been performing analytics; today will be the third day straight on the phone with them; expecting a call any minute. At least they are guarding my assets vigorously and attempting to prosecute the perpetrators.
lol! Possible. I’m old enough to remember folks calling the TV the “one-eyed devil.” And the fear and hate of the internet when it first started to take the world by storm! I guess AI is just the latest kid on the block getting all the side-eye.
As part of the scam ordeal we decided to bring the majority of our financial services to a local institution. Our local police department is leading a local investigation in cooperation with federal authorities and our institutions are also cooperating too.
On the Linux end I’ve revamped a few of my systems after temporarily encountering an issue with my backups. I’ve got that fixed now, and I spent time today retesting and validating the backups, which are “good” and useful once again. (I always test my backups, so I caught the issue the first day it happened).
