I might be a bit “offline” today and tomorrow because my provider screwed up my internet connection and they will fix it “soon” (yeah, right).
Now typing this in the cafe of the sportscomplex of the university here (pretty fast connection btw ) but it feels a bit like camping.
I hope tomorrow it will be fixed because I have a work related teams meeting on my day off and I really don’t want to have to travel to work to do it there.
A local provider has their manhole in my yard. When a neighbor wanted to use them they dug without contacting me the property owner and broke my underground dog fence. I filed a complaint of property damage. They told me I would be contacted in two weeks, it has been 12 days and no contact yet. I guess that is their idea of quickly.
In the mean time I have to take my dog out on on a leash now.
They probably think you, as a problem, will go away if they ignore you.
It’s a pity that you are in the USA because AFAIK a lawsuit In the US is, besides a lot of trouble to go through, prohibitively expensive and could go on for years.
In my country you would win just based on facts (even without a lawyer) in small claims court and it would take not more than a few days from complaint to getting your damage paid. It wouldn’t cost you anything.
(been there, done that).
