Every now and then, we come across posts or replies that stand out, the kind that genuinely help others learn, solve problems, or simply inspire thoughtful discussion. These moments deserve recognition.
That’s what this thread is for. If you see a member whose contributions reflect any of the following, feel free to nominate (simply paste a link to the post) that post here:
Kernel of Wisdom(Aware – Insightful posts or helpful advice that strengthen the core of the community, much like the kernel forms the core of Linux. → View recipients
Root of Knowledge – Highly valuable, impactful content that others benefit from long after the discussion ends. → View recipients
Master of Unix – The most elite, exceptional contributions that elevate the entire community. → View recipients

Every nomination doesn’t have to be for a major technical post. It could simply be for someone who took the time to help you when it really mattered, gave a clear explanation that solved your problem, or shared insight that stuck with you. If their contribution made a difference to you, this is the place to recognize it.
Once a post is nominated, any staff member can agree with the nomination by awarding it. There’s no discussion or voting process. The awarding staff member will also decide which tier of badge (Kernel of Wisdom, Root of Knowledge, or Master of Unix) best fits the contribution.
The goal is simple: to make sure valuable contributions don’t get missed or unnoticed, even if they happen quietly in the corners of a thread.
Note: Only the Kernel of Wisdom can be awarded to multiple posts. The Root of Knowledge can be applied only once, to a specific post. The Master of Unix is awarded to members for their overall contributions to the community, rather than for specific post(s).
Let’s celebrate the members who make LinuxCommunity.io what it is.
