@hydn I’d like to confirm: there is no ‘Mark as solved’ checkbox anymore.
The Mark as solved is enabled in the Linux Support category.

Also it’s enabled in MATE Desktop per request. We can probably add it to some other categories like Arch Linux Debian Fedora/RHEL and Ubuntu

That’s a good compromise and I’ve gone ahead and renamed the existing q-and-a tag to: question and enabled the solved feature on that tag.
This seems to have the most global effect without having to enable it on every single topic.
