Electronic fair in Pordenone ~ impressions

Hello folks;

25 and 26 april every year there’s the biggest electronic fair in Pordenone, Italy. I went to visit it this morning, and I want to share with you my today impressions:

  • I might need a new PC power supply because mine is getting older, so I found couple of them one 700w other 850w. They both costs 40€, and I thought that price is too low for high quality power supply, so I did not buy one. I did not trust to buy in fair such a sensitive component. Also because now I’m not in mood for disassambly mine PC just for switch the power supply, let’s see maybe next black friday

  • I went to the fair wearing a Linux tshirt where there’s tux and some random bash commands. A person in fair saw me and he ask me to solve a puzzle in front of terminal, such as disassembly a bomb in a bash prompt. I was tempted to try it, but I thought mine time in fair was for visiting it not for a debug session so I cortesy reply to him no thanks and I spent my time visiting the fair

  • I bought a led wall clock, I spent kinda 18€, it just had too short usb cable, I needed to find a cable extension, thankfully I got one in garage. Btw very best buy, totally satisfied about it, now I can precisely cook my italian pasta since I have kitchen in the same room where I have my setup :smiley:

  • I bought also a Linux sticker for attach it in my new fancy car. I asked the guy “how much?” he reply me “it’s up to you, a free offer”. I donated to the association 1€ and I bring my Linux sticker home. While I was putting the donation in their box I said him “W the opensource :D”

  • For last I bought a new printer ink cartridge, nothing special, but very usefoul object to deal with

I also saw alot of computers, macintosh, PC, laptop, desktop, spare components, cables, compact disk to burn, It was very interesting, but in the end I did’nt need anything special.
Also I saw rally cars and super sport cars in exhibition, such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus.. very exciting I would say, but honestly I can’t afford that cost :laughing:

Take care guys.
