Hi to you all! Greetings from Germany! ![]()
Hi Amy and welcome. This is introduce yourself. For help you need to go to the ‘Help and Support’ page:
or here, the newbie (new user) section:
This is about Linux not Android or Apple phones, but there are some people here very knowledgeable about phones. Maybe you will find someone to help you out?
When you ask for help explain your problem in detail and everything you know about your phone, starting with make and model.
I also send my greetings. I have been in Michigan since last week. We had a wedding to attend for a person on my wife’s side of the family.
We also visited several friends, many of which we both know.
I’ll try to catch up here now that I have returned home!
Hello to everyone here.
I’m looking forward to moving towards open source, and learning along the way.
I’m a late bloomer at just about everything. Learning to write, learning about technology, learning how to be a better human being.
Living in Yucatan with my wife, four dogs, and two cats… as well as all the passing guests that stop by - lizards, snakes, tarantulas, the odd skunk, and more insects than one might expect.
Happy days!

Welcome, Lucyloo050! Sorry if I am late in responding to you.
First off, change your google password and don’t share it with anyone.
Secondly, change your phone PIN and don’t share it with anyone.
Thirdly, look at all the installed Apps on your phone and verify that none of those are “location trackers” or “keyloggers” that are monitoring and reporting your activities to a remote phone/computer. If there is, you have legal proof of someone breaching your privacy and performing an act which is illegal in almost every jurisdiction! If you find that, go directly to a Police Station and have someone there examine your phone for you, in order to identify where the information was being sent to, so that they have evidence for a court case against the perpetrator.
Without the presence of a “tracker” App, maybe the Police can help you with other ways of identifying who is doing that if, as you say, it is being done without your consent.
Hello All, my name is Doug and I’m from South Carolina, U.S. I’m currently retired, well into my 70s but I did work in the IT world from help desk, desktop support, network support for a very small company, and finally as a security engineer. I’m not a real Linux admin, but I can say that my Linux expertise got me, and kept me in jobs over most of my career. Now I manage my personal web/mail server and workstation at home using Rocky Linux (I was for many years a CentOS aficionado ). I have always loved Linux and open source in general and as a committed duffer I’m always looking for answers to questions and problems on line. That’s how I found this community. ![]()

Welcome to the community @Kayra, nice to meet you! ![]()
A big welcome to you all from me! ![]()
My name is Christian. I an semi retired from tech, not a programmer. I have used Linux since 1998 when I installed Debian from 18 floppies on an HP laptop. Took me days, and them more days to get the thing online with my little dinky dial-up ISP.
I have done my share of disro hopping but have ended up on Ubuntu since I know it so well and have lost my capacity as far as solving problems with my OS. I do little tweaks to my Ubuntu installs like always run on btrfs and run an alternative (Xanmod} kernel.
