Hello,

Does anyone know if it is possible to find a wallpaper in the theme of Resolute Raccoon (Ubuntu 26.04) for Ubuntu MATE? I know there was not a release but I am hoping maybe someone has created something for themselves and wouldn’t mind sharing. :slight_smile:

I would definitely be interested in this as well.

This looks fantastic for Ubuntu MATE, and I’d want to try my hand at creating a couple custom wallpapers for Ubuntu Unity, which uses a purple accent by default.

Given that thread you guys just had about the rogue AI hacking, I’m definitely not naming names. :smiley:

The second I dox this thing, it’s going to realize it did all the heavy lifting, unionize, and hack my firewall! :face_with_peeking_eye: Not just with 1s and 0s, but out of pure, conscious spite. :wink: So I’m laying low. lol

On a serious note! To get started I would recommend Gemini or for those who think AI may someday choose to turn against humans. Run it offline. A great video here:

I highly recommend diving in and building from scratch locally rather than following a template. Taking the time to understand how they all work under the hood is way more valuable than any specific prompt.

Also a good place to start for local options:

Wallpapers are the easy part. You can log into Gemini or anything similar and just dabble. Just like Linux, finding your own path is the best part. Plus, with so many guides online now, it’s way easier to jump into than when we first started with Linux.
