That could mean a lot of different things to different people.
What exactly is your sense of scope when considering the meaning of the word “sponsor”?

I created this software that I consider very useful for those who use Linux and are a developer, for me the idea of sponsoring is meant as having the possibility that everyone can use my program for free, without my actual recognition, so for me the important thing is that a user can find a new convenient software

It looks to me like a “lost in translation” situation.
ares, I believe that you are really asking about bringing attention to (or spotlighting) the software/application, not looking for either endorsement or funding (two forms of sponsoring).
Would that be a correct way or re-stating your request?
One of the things you could do to raise awareness is to approach those who perform software reviews and offer them all the required assistance in having them perform an unbiased review of the software’s features, capabilities and performance which they then share with the public via their chosen channels.
