I’ve never used nobara or fedora based distro but I’d suggest you try nvidia-open
your card support the lastest nvidia driver 570.133.07 as for now 2025-04-20T00:00:00Z

Thanks @Halano — you’re right about the 570.133.07 driver. That’s a solid start.
@WtMelplay
If you’re on Nobara, the built-in NVIDIA installer in Nobara’s tools should handle most of the driver setup, including the open variant. That said, RTX 4060 needs 535+ or 550+ drivers, but you’re better off with the 570.133.07 like Halano mentioned.
Make sure Secure Boot is off — it can cause freezing and artifact issues with unsigned kernel modules.
You can also try:
sudo dnf install akmod-nvidia
Then reboot and check nvidia-smi
for confirmation.
If you’re using Wayland or X11 — that also plays a role with NVIDIA.
