One morning I thought it would be hilarious if I built-up a command center that, out of nowhere, would launch a random Leave it to Beaver episode. That was the whole impetus, random LitB.
I thought, I want some wild jetsons-like interface just for this, so here we go. I removed the auto and random LitB pop-out, but, kept the functionality because it’s still hilarious. I even make a keybind for it. Also, that’s why it’s called george; george jetson. I’m genX.
George is urwid and tmux I run with alacritty with some pretty handy functionality built-in, scratch pad to email or note, events, your scripts and launchers, rss feeds a terminal, some chips that launch TV shows and random Nina Simone - Come ON, Nina SIMONE!! heh.
m turns on the radio, c’tarl+t gets you in and out of the terminal, r reloads, q quits, e creates an event, n sets a 15 minute nag…
As I wrote, nobody wanted this but me. It’s awesome, though, if you’re a nerd like me. There’s no installer necessary, it’s just a script using what exists.
