DISTRO FIGHTER: WARS: Closed BETA, first keys for this private room

Part III of Distro Fighter is ready for its first real managers, and I wanted this room to have easy early access!

DISTRO FIGHTER: WARS is the multiplayer part of this game:

You claim a fighter (distro) of your own, pick his desktop (that’s his stance), train him in real time, load him out with software packages, and put him on a ranked circuit against fighters run by other managers. Rankings, records, revenge matches, public manager profiles and community. Same distros, but like Linux, never the same fighter setup.

Your key

Entry is by key while the beta runs. This link carries the key, click to enter:

DISTRO FIGHTER: WARS

Open it once and you’re in from then on. Please keep the key inside this room for now.

Five minutes to get going

  1. Claim a fighter (any distro, pick a camp name).
  2. Start a training session. It runs on real time, so come back later and collect the gains.
  3. Type commands into the loadout terminal (wars install htop, man zram). Every package changes how he fights, and bloat is his weight class.
  4. Spar the house partners to learn your fight plan, then take a Manager’s License (just an email code, no password) and step onto the ranked circuit.
  5. Win something, then check your public profile and feel free to post it here so we can scout each other.

Beta honesty

It’s a beta. Numbers will get tuned, and there will be a reset before the wide launch so that its fair for everyone. If that happens, founding managers get recognized for being here first! Timers are real but nothing you earn is ever taken away (yet), and losing a ranked bout costs points and recovery time, never your fighter.

Found a bug, or a package that feels too strong or too weak? Post it in this thread. This is exactly the feedback that shapes the launched version.
