Hi Zedboy and welcome to our humble little web site. I don’t know if you’ve thought of this but if you Google LPI Study materials it will take you to here. You can also get the study guide for the 102 exam as well and they’re free just download them and study when you have the time.

Hey there! I’m brand new in the Linux space and am exploring the glorious rabbit hole that this space holds. Nice to meet you all. Current setup is nothing fancy -
Dell Inspiron 7440 2-in-1 w/ Windows 11
16GB RAM & 1TB Hard Drive.
Looking into the options to go full-send on Linux Mint or other distros.
Hello everyone i am happy to be in the community. I have been an etech electrician for Daimler trucks and looking to continuing my IT knowledge. I have a raspberry pi i am learning about and a Dell laptop with Ubuntu i have barely tinkered with a couple years. I am in the process of installing Mint and a virtual machine (probably Oracle) so that i can install and run windows on it. Just learning how to make it work. Also looking to study Red Hat Linux system admin and work toward a certificate. Also currently studying Comptia security plus to get that cert. So plenty busy. I will greatly appreciate learning from the masters here.
Greetings Beanhammer,
Before you can get Redhat Certified you have to pass the LPI 1 & 2 certification. On the plus side those study guides are free and can be found here: lpi study guides
Good luck
Welcome to the forums.

Hello! My name is Javier, I’m from Argentina. Since 2023, I’ve been involved in the world of cybersecurity: Linux, networks, etc.
I love learning about everything and spend most of my time on the PC, haha. My current distro is Parrot Sec. How are you?
Welcome to our community forum guys. ![]()
Greetings to @Pristinebump and @mariana_marianacross ! Welcome to the forum; best wishes to each of you.
Hello everyone, I’m Christian from Germany. I work in cybersecurity and run mostly fedora, debian and ubuntu on my devices. Still running a windows desktop though, but today was its last day as a windows 10 machine. and that I found a good enough reason to join here. I am looking forward to learn new things and add my knowledge where I can.
@vanation , a.k.a. Christian, welcome to the forum. Your background in cybersecurity ought to be useful if you’re willing to jump into cybersecurity discussions. Your experience across three major Linux distributions is also valuable. Looking forward to reading what you have to say.
@vanation Welcome to our humble little community! With your background in Cybersecurity do you prefer the tools in Kali Linux or Parrot and why?
Thank you! I started with Kali and been using it every since. Haven’t really got the time to try Parrot, but will definitely do some time. So I can’t really compare it at the moment.
Howdy! I’m here because I need HALP!!! I’m an industrial equipment technician since the late 1980’s and started personal computing on a state of the art 286 PC running MS DOS. Decades ago I was proficient with command line Unix and DCL (when DEC was a thing) on my job. But for the last couple of decades, I have just used Windows because the insidious Gill Bates Corporation became the default for industry as well as lazy people like me. Now I have to buy new computers to run Windows 11? Enough! I’m here to hopefully figure out what PC options I can buy to AVOID Windows by switching to Linux and supporting a community rather than a corporation.
Welcome aboard @LurkerMike! Sounds like you’ve got a solid foundation to jump back in. Very interesting topic, I’ve continued my reply here:
