Poll: Are you running a Debian or Debian-based distro?

Curious how the Debian family is represented here. Debian and its derivatives cover a huge chunk of the desktop and server world, but plenty of us have moved to Fedora, Arch, openSUSE, or something else entirely.

Vote below, then tell us which distro you actually run and what keeps you there.

  • Yes - Debian, *buntu, Linux Mint, MX Linux, Pop!_OS, Zorin OS, Kali Linux, Deepin, antiX, etc
  • No - Fedora, Arch, openSUSE, Void, Solus, Gentoo, NixOS, Alpine, etc.

Team Arch / NixOS!

But, on my Homelab with Pi’s I use Rasbi OS based on Ubuntu.
Of course, I could run Arch or Nix on the Pi’s using a workaround, but I don’t have the time for that.

Recently moved from Fedora to Debian, and very much enjoying the Debian side of life

Running Debian with KDE on my main PC; with MATE on a very old laptop; and also on a laptop-turned-into-server.

Actually, team Fedora. I don’t like Debian. For my belongings, the packages are far too old. That’s why I switched between openSUSE Tumbleweed, Arch Linux, EndeavourOS, and Fedora.

While I use Debian (either Bookworm or Trixie) on my servers, I’ve primarily been a Ubuntu/Ubuntu-derivative on my desktops/laptops. That being said, the longer I use CachyOS, the more I really like it, to the point that I’m not sure how much longer I’ll use a desktop/laptop without CachyOS (soon I will experiment with other Arch based distros as well).
