Yes, to me it does. Only the panel is traditional in my way of thinking. You are entitled to think as you wish, I don’t push my thinking on others.
It was a joke and a little bit of a demonstration of how old software also could be preceived as “modern looking”, I did not mean to offend you in any way.
If I did, I’m sorry. My apologies.
LOL not offended in any way. I know I am old and set in my ways, and not about to change.
I do think it is interesting you run lighting. How did you get into that? I would think some kind of apprenticeship, but maybe their is a college program for that too.
Since I never could make a definitive choice between electronics, IT and music, I ended up working in a live music venue after some years of IT and a lot of touring with bands as a soundtech.
In that venue as a sound tech I sometimes also had to do the lighting for bands (shit happens) and learned it by practice. It did help that my brother was into photography so I knew about the visual effects of a point lightsource on a subject.
Long story short, it came more or less naturally as a “side-effect” of being in that business so I already had some experience when I started to work for a theater although sound was still my main job. ![]()
Same here. Years ago when I was on Xubuntu I switched to Greybird dark theme and the next day I got so used to it that I could never go back to a light or clear theme. Any flavor or distro I try, first thing I do is switch to dark mode or a dark theme.
