Linux Distro Choice: How Close to the Edge Are You?

I prefer my servers to be stable and boring, but with good performance. I mostly use Debian and FreeBSD.

On the desktop, I can stand a little more bleeding edge for a time, but then I tend to gravitate towards stability. I’ve run CachyOS, and liked it, but my current daily driver is MX. Solid Debian base, with MX desktop goodies, and low latency gaming optimized kernels available as well.

I don’t have any server equipment but I have several laptops so I can afford to be risky. I’ve messed up a few times but my backup strategy allowed me to reconfigure my entire collection of systems anyway so I didn’t mind the risks!
