With the recent launch of the iPhone 16, Apple introduced Apple Intelligence, its AI-powered feature suite designed to enhance user experience across their ecosystem. Has anyone had the chance to try it out yet?
If so, what are your impressions? How does it compare to similar AI tools, particularly in terms of usability, integration with other Apple products, and any unique capabilities it brings to the table?
Would love to hear your thoughts—especially from those who have experience with other AI-driven assistants or automation tools.
The reason I’m asking is that I’m still on the iPhone 13. I probably won’t upgrade until the 17 or 18 (if my battery life holds). What am I missing out on?
Nah, i haven’t, i am using a very old iphone and it doesn’t even have email on it. Just use for the telephonic talk and to the best, i dont have anyone to call here so i keep it in my bag and not even in my pocket. On my phone, i dont have any other like whatsapp, chat clients or anything else, so dont know what the AI will do there.
I think the big selling point for Apple Intelligence is privacy and handling of users’ data. Apple Intelligence uses on-device processing, so it is aware of your personal information without collecting your personal information.
Unlike ChatGPT and Gemini which collect a massive amount of data over time and personal depending on who you have used it. For example, if ever used relating to health, family, or other personal info, be mindful that it’s collected before there’s a response. Then also used to help improve the service.
I dont think that AI or chatGPT or Gemini should be used for collecting personal data, likes and dislikes and anything else. How can you ask a non-living to make a decision for living. Even living person dont have the right to make a decision for others as no one has the right to make the decision for others.
If they are collecting the data or used that to do so, they are simply putting themselves to the negatives as that will bring a negative interaction among the community. People will become friends and enemies without even talking to the person.
I ask myself this question, do i know this person enough?, have i ever met, if met then how much long ago i met, have i ever talked and if the answer to anyone of these is not a single time, and if met then never talked in last years, it means that the person dont even remember them.
In my case, also, i don’t even remember the face of the people i haven’t seen in more than a year and haven’t contacted them from the past. So if AI suggesting likes or dislikes on anything then it is a false prediction.
However, by collecting such information, the ChatGPT model will say the like and dislike based on the regression classification but that is a false information , so believing the false information and making decisions on the same is showing that you have no sense of ability to judge whether to believe a non-living for a living or not.
I’m using Apple Intelligence on all my Apple devices (MacBook, iPhone and iPad). Siri is much better but still makes mistakes. So far it’s pretty cool but it’s only been a few days and haven’t used it too much.
