Can I create keyboard shortcuts for each virtual desktop?

You can quickly manage your virtual desktops using the following keyboard shortcuts (task view = windows key + Tab):

  • Windows Key + Ctrl + D – opens a new virtual desktop
  • Windows Key + Ctrl + F4 – closes the current virtual desktop
  • Windows Key + Ctrl + Left/Right – switches to the virtual desktop on the left or right

But I would also like to setup:

  • Windows Key + 1 - virtual desktop 1
  • Windows Key + 2 - virtual desktop 2
  • Windows Key + 3 - virtual desktop 3
  • etc

Possible?

So yes, trying to setup windows like i3wm! :laughing:

I didn’t know you could actually do this. Was browsing the forum and spotted the thread. I am going to have to give this a go.

Did you end up successfully setting it up?

This can actually be handy for what I am planning to do with my secondary system. I am in the middle of using some new and old parts to set up a build that will function as a virtual machine hub. Going to have to set this up myself.
