I first used Linux back in the Windows 7 days. I tried all the distros, chose MInt because it had the clearest text and best Video quality. I used it for about seven years.

I tried it because it was recommended by a relative. He was both a White Hat and Black hat hacker informing me of the numerous flaws in Windows and showed me him doing hacks.

I would have stayed on linux permanently, but fell into extremely bad health for seven years and needed laptops that would work off of hospital internet.

I was using Windows 10 and liked it. When Microsoft forced Microsoft Edge and co-pilot onto everyone they completely crash my operating system requiring a reset. They completely wiped out all bookmarks when they forced Microsoft Edge on me, even worse they transformed all by Libre office documents in 365 ones. I stopped using 365 even though I had it free because I hated it. I don’t pay ransoms with gold only with steel, so I both distrust and hate Microsoft. Note I always knew that social media was just spyware for corporations and government, so never used them and Microsoft has become even worse spyware than anyone else. The reason I erased Windows 11 Pro. I’m also mad that they ruined forums for me because my existing gmail accounts were auto rejected and attempts to use alternative emails like yahoo and thunderbird were not allowed because linked to my gmail.

Unfortunately I’m still using Windows 10 because I use Tubi, Windows is trying to force me to use backup on One drive and if they do another reset I’ll just get rid of Windows 10 altogether switching to another distro of Linux on that laptop in addition to the one I’ve installed Linux Mint 22.3 on.
