I also tried Nobara Linux some times. I liked it so far, but I got issues after updates 2 times and I had to do a rollback / restore a backup. Because there is only GE as an active developer in my cases it took some days to get a fix.

GE says they are not the only developer, though it is obvious that the team is very small anyways. The advice I have heard repeated is to wait a week or so after a new big update becomes available so that bugs can get worked out. Since the team is small, it does make it less stable than larger distros.
Tbh I chose Nobara for gaming on a whim. Ubuntu seems to be great for gaming too (at least going by the distros used successfully on protondb for my problematic games), and CachyOS seemed to work well too. I just chose Nobara because I liked the name and figured that a GE-tailored distro might be cool to use. And I heard Fedora is great anyways. Since I already had an Ubuntu-like system in Mint, I figured I could try something totally new for fun. And, well, it works great for all my games so far, so I am satisfied hahaha. It looks good too.

Biggest disadvantage of Nobara is for me that there is Discord only. I don’t like to get support there because questions are often disappearing and it is hard to find them back. That’s why I like to get support in a community forum.

I definitely agree with that. I have never really liked Discord as a platform. For any computer OS, not just Linux-based ones, you really need dedicated forums that people can find via web browser searches. That’s how I found this one.
