Most people have had zero issues cloning Ubuntu with Clonezilla or Rescuezilla. Just image the old SSD and write it to the new one. UUIDs, machine-ID, and drivers usually sort themselves out.
Even moving the cloned drive to totally different hardware works fine. If you clone from a live USB, the new drive shows up cleanly, and you don’t need to fix anything unless GRUB was installed oddly.
