Sorry about the delay or lack of reply
I somehow had a PPD file in one of my steam folders,
in this location
SteamLibrary/steamapps/compatdata/203160/pfx/drive_c/windows/system32/spool/drivers/x64/3/
I cannot remember what I ran, either the windows driver or the Epson Photo + exe, I cannot remember well… I just searched for my printer model and found some PPD folders… looked for a 64 bit one
asked Deepseek and seems it was worried about dlls or exes being references
I asked and it spit out this

I transferred my ppd file to
/usr/share/cups/model/
I added the printer as USB then selected the PPD file and I’m good now… Immediate prints, and probably better error detection also less clinking inside the printer while printing
I quickly backed up the PPD file in case I distro hop
There was another in
/etc/cups/ppd
I’d already copied the other from steam files and works fine. This is for in case someone else faces something similar
Note: I had installed both epson scan for rpm ^6.0.0 and the printer utility before doing any of this.
